“Samuels” – In the Land
“Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of Glory enter” ~ Psalm 24:7
Pray with us that King Jesus would move with his authority throughout Iran during this challenging Nowruz season (Iranian New Year).
“…In those days the word of the LORD was rare and prophetic visions were not widespread … Then the LORD called Samuel, and he answered, “Here I am.” 1 Sam 3:1,4
It seems the only conversation in this household is about the Prophet Isa. Basir is glad they are visiting this family, but he doesn’t know what to think. He is only thirteen so the idea of playing Xbox with the other boys his age is appealing. They go into the kitchen where another television is set up, ready for their game. But then, one of the Iranian women at this gathering, walks in a sits down beside him. She to talks about Isa and the other boys turn off the Xbox to listen as well. Basir is surprised when he feels a desire to know more about Isa. What is happening to him? His father would be so angry! And then Basir hears himself ask, “Do you have an Injil I could have?” With a glad heart, he receives the bible and quickly hides it among his things. The Iranian woman who shared with Basir is convinced of one thing: Basir is open and hungry; very soon he will hear the Lord calling his name.

- Pray that in the midst of corruption in the land there would be “Samuels” who follow after God and obey His word, and lead the people of their land to serve Jesus
- Pray that there would be “Samuels” in the land who would raise up and anoint a new generation of leaders who have a heart for the Lord Jesus
