Africa: A Missionary to the West

I started teaching a new class recently at our English Center. As an icebreaker, each student shared their name and something important about themselves. One student’s response stood out.

“Ali” is a middle-aged man with a beard who dresses in traditional Islamic attire. He stood and greeted the class, “Al-hamdulilah” (Praise be to Allah). He then shared his goal of learning English: to travel to Western countries and convert white Christians to Islam. He described how he is studying English so he can tell white people to follow Islam.

Please pray for my student “Ali.” Pray that God will turn his religious zeal into a focused exploration into the life and teachings of Isa al-Masih (Jesus the Mess!ah).

Believe with me that one day Ali will become an incredible evangelist who boldly proclaims the name of Jesus! Pray that his influence and leadership will be used by God for His glory. What a day that will be!
