This is a pressing prayer need from one of our workers. 

They are in contact with a family (a middle-aged father and his grown son) who lives in a tiny village along the Silk Road. A couple months ago they requested a New Testament from a Christian website because they are interested. However, when the postman delivered the package, instead of taking it to their house, he dropped it off at the local social gathering place that’s in the center of the village. The men of the village opened the package and when they saw it was an Incil (New Testament), they went out to this family’s house and beat the father. Since then the village has blocked this family from selling any produce. They are dairy farmers and sell milk and homemade village cheeses and stuff.

Last night late, our workers received word from the son saying that yesterday the father was out on the mountain with their cows reading the Incil when another villager happened to come up behind him and see him reading it. This other villager apparently rounded up a number of men who came and thoroughly beat him with rods and clubs. When the son found him he called an ambulance. Apparently he is in bad shape, not life threatening, but needs surgery. 

This family has even accepted Christ yet as Lord and Savior, but they are certainly suffering for him, just for being interested. Please keep this matter in prayer. We will update you when more news is available.
