Daisy

Daisy is a good friend of mine, and we share a lot about what’s happening in our lives with each other. She has always listened politely and respectfully whenever I have shared about Jesus with her, but she has never shown much interest or curiosity herself.

Until one day when our conversation took an unexpected turn. We were visiting in a coffee shop and began to talk about the history of the time and places of Jesus and the reason why His own people wanted to kill him. She asked more questions than she ever had before until finally she rapped her knuckles on the wall and said, “I want to knock on different doors to see what’s out there.” She shared that she was raised to know one thing and taught that asking questions is wrong, which made her curious to know why people around her are so scared of the questions. Pointing to her cell phone she said, “If you know you are offering the best product, you don’t have to worry about someone trying another one. They’ll come back to you eventually.”

In that moment I shared Matthew 7:7 with her: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Since that time, our conversations have included reading stories about Jesus. Our prayer is that the door of salvation will open to her and her knowledge of Jesus will lead to faith in him.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

Every believer is called to go

Whether to your neighbor across the street or to the nations across the world. At Live Dead, we exist to take the good news of Jesus Christ to those who have never heard in the countries that have limited to no access to this good news. We seek to mobilize advocates, both individuals and churches, to pray, speak, give, and go for the sake of unreached people groups. How will you join us in this work?
